P.A.M. Media Outreach Foster Care Community Partnership
In collaboration with State Representative Josey Garcia, P.A.M. Media Outreach is proud to host a special symposium to raise awareness and provide vital resources for the aged-out foster care community. This important event, titled "Raising Awareness: Embracing the Present for the Foster Care Community," will occur on Friday, November 22, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:30 pm.
The symposium will feature insightful discussions on topics crucial to the foster care community, including Mental Health and Coping Strategies, Rights to Education, Medicaid Benefits, Creating Safe Spaces for Foster Care Youth, Legislative Advocacy, and firsthand experiences from Case Workers. Additionally, the event will explore the role of Media Exposure in raising awareness and advocating for the needs of aged-out foster care youth.
This event, supported by experts, advocates, and community members, seeks to connect foster care youth transitioning out of the system with the necessary resources. Join us in making a difference and empowering foster care youth by ensuring they can access the support and opportunities they deserve.
